The Kalahari, a vast semi desert area that covers significant parts of southern Africa is centred on Botswana, and it is through these endless sands that the famous Okavango and Chobe rivers run. These river systems truly are the lifeblood of much of the north of Botswana, and it is in these regions that most of our tailor-made safaris and our scheduled Savute & Khwai photo tours operate, focussing on the sizeable populations of large mammals that live here.
