Mike Dexter is a wildlife photographer and specialist photographic safari guide with over a decade of experience exploring Africa’s most remote and breathtaking wilderness areas.
His journey began with a degree in photojournalism, where he honed his skills in visual storytelling. He later deepened his understanding of the natural world by earning a FGASA Level II guiding qualification and entering the wildlife industry as a full time guide.
What truly sets Mike apart is his genuine passion for sharing the art of photography with others. He thrives on helping guests to push themselves, capture moments they never thought possible and take their photography to new levels. Whether it’s positioning for the perfect shot or offering insights into animal behavior, Mike’s patient and engaging teaching style ensures everyone feels inspired and supported.
Mike’s work has been featured in numerous travel and wildlife publications, showcasing his ability to convey the beauty and intricacies of the natural world. But for him, photography is about more than just the final image—it’s about the stories, experiences, and connections made along the way.
Joining a safari with Mike means more than just photographing wildlife; it’s an opportunity to see the world through new eyes and share unforgettable experiences in the heart of the wild.”
